This laptop is well worth the price! The graphics it can handle blows my mind. Everything this laptop has is worth more than what they are asking, hands down. 6 GIG RAM paired with the 2.5 Gz Duel Core Processsor is powerful enough to handle any and all of my programs, exe ( virus scan while playing Battlefield Terrible Company 2 with graphics on the highest setting ). Only setback is DVD drive makes a small noise when i have a cd in it, due to dropping the laptop. Its an simple fix that the warrenty take in. I debated buying it because of all the so called “gaming” laptops out there and I am Very pleased I chose to get this one. ***********All in all a fantastic buy for the price, hell I would of paid alot more for it*************
I am a software engineer who has used a variety of brands. I got a 3 month ancient DV6t-2000 i7 quad core with 8GB RAM for development purposes. I trusted in HP brand and bought this computer to see that there is absolutely no support. The computers GET issues from time to time, a well performing computer does not necessarily mean that it is a excellent product.
The support department is going to offer you to replace the whole panel and reformat the PC if one of your key-caps(in my case up arrow) gets loose or broken. You will have to leave your PC to service department for at least a month if you have warranty, and if your warranty is over may God help you since your will have to pay several hundred dollars. There is absolutely 0 initiative, and prepare to talk to human robots. I went up to their CEO! and may possibly not get a resolution. Managers are arrogant and chooses to fight with the consumer instead of offering solutions.
I am an IT expert and fervently suggest advanced and novice users to stay away from HP as far as possible…

After carriage several emails and hours spent on the phone calls, I may possibly get the support department to resolve the issue. But, they sent a whole keyboard panel. So, it seems, once the warranty period is over, I would have to pay for the panel. It is a powerful computer , yet the support is still weak.
To make a long tale small;
I bought a H.P. on 11/26/2009 at Best Buy. Everything that came out of the box was impressive. A month later, there was a black spot on the screen. The only thing that keeps these businesses alive is their extended warranty which is another $300.00. Well, I took it back to Best Buy(Terrible Buy) and they told me that the screen was cracked and didn’t care about helping exchange it or whatever. They’re first question, did you buy extended warranty? I said, no. I just didn’t see no crack on the screen. But, Best Buy really knew what to say immediatly. They even said H.P. wasn’t going to help me. Their administrator who was not even the store administrator said he couldn’t help. He tells me that the store administrator was on vacation for 2 months. What kind of luck,a horrible circumstances and I am not getting any resoloution.
So I chose to call H.P., they gave the circumstances too. Wow, I just a nobody to these corporate pigs. I looked the Better Business Burea, and I got some numbers. H.P. gave a case worker to deal with my problem. I thought it was going to take a least a week. The case worker was nice. He tells me he is waiting for pictures of the computer. A month goes buy and I am getting fustrated. He tells me that the monitor will proberly cost me $455.00 he decides not to fix it. This getting more fustrating. So, I chose to go to the Better Bussiness Burea, and I got a better response. A Executive for Cusomer affairs email me and dealt with it accordingly. But before it was to late the computer was already shipped before she may possibly fix it. I had to wait another 3 days and then I shipped it back. I got the computer back and I know its not the same monitor, cause it looks smaller. Now, I am having more problems with other devices. If you buy an a HP reflect twice, and if you reflect its a fantastic computer, then make sure you have a credit card that insures it for a couple years such as some American Express card or Learn. Find out what you are getting into before you spend a lot of money on your investment.
