AVG 2010 was reviewed by many different sources and later found to be one of the most comprehensive and simple to use utility softwares available. I bought in May of 2010 after Norton let me down with a trojan associated with the Adobe program in January of 2010, and they failed to aid me in support. Not that they didn’t try, but their services were offered to me on a paid basis to aid in recovery. I use Win 7 Ultimate and after install I haven’t had any problems. Some of the other users report difficulty in setting up a firewall on their system, after by it myself I would have to question their level of knowledge in computers at all… as for the cracks about the India support, truthfully Microsoft has many of their offices setup there, along with Iraq, Afghanistan, etc so Where the support comes from really isn’t that much of an issue but whether or not they can help at all.
The only time I will have something negative to say is when my computer gets infected.
This is a fantastic alternative to the overpriced BIG NAME anti virus harvest.

Of course AVG is known for their free software anti-virus people can download. This software but must be paid for. At $40 it is no bargain any. One may possibly buy from companies like Norton, McAfee, or Trend Micro for less. These are all established players in the anti-virus game unlike AVG–which is known as the free anti-virus company.
I had a problem with the install of my product and the support was frankly a joke. It said I may possibly pay for support, for my brand-new program. Thanks AVG for throwing me under the bus. Pay for support for your product which is groundbreaking new? I may possibly buy a legitimate product from any of the known companies above and have free support which doesn’t consist of playing email tag with someone from India.
This thing is going right back for a return. I am going back with Trend Micro where I get free support and get to speak with a live human being. In anticipation of AVG gets real consumer support it will only be excellent for free software downwloads! The safest thing you can do is not buy this software.
I bought this product after reading about AVG and its glowing reviews. But, I had a problem with the install on my second computer. The firewall austerely would not install. I tried the online fixes at AVG’s Website but none of them worked.
I had to email “consumer support,” since apparently AVG is too cheap to provide a phone number. Someone named Lakshmi, I am sure from India, emailed me back but his fix did not work.
I would recommend Trend Micro over this want-to-be anti-virus. Trend has toll-free technical support and you get to speak with a live body, instead of being hung out to dry with second-rate support from India!
I run an IT business. This is the same product I recommend my clients install on their PC. I use it on all the computers in both my home and office.
What’s fantastic is it does not eat up resources like McAfee or Norton do. In other words, it will not slow down your computer as much.
It updates itself multiple times a day with new virus definitions. It allows you to customize just about every aspect, but you can also have it set everything up for you if you do not want to fine tune it.
This has been the best Antivirus and Spysweeper for me. I just installed it on my new ASUS laptop. It will prevent any virus from attacking your computer while by your Internet sites. Just be sure to set up a schedule to sweep every week. I have Windows 7 and I didn’t have any problem installing this. I was very pleased with the delivery time. Seller did a fantastic job of carriage it out.
Bought the Anti-Virus and attempted to install it the same day. It’s probably wonderful anti-virus protection if you can install it. Expected error 100 the first attempt. After several attempts to install without success I called the support line. If I wanted to pay a fee I would receive immediate attention. If not I may possibly hold for 30 minutes. After several attempts to get the problem resolved it is still not installed. Excellent luck to prospect users.

I ordered this software 2 years ago. Apparently, they have a policy of auto renewing your software. You have to OPT out to not be exciting involuntarily.
I do not know if I was exciting last year for a renewal. I got an e-mail this month saying they would charge my credit card unless I logged in with my Keycode and opted out! The keycode I have stored does not fit into the spaces allotted for this.
Guess how terrible their company must be doing in order to trick people into paying for a renewal?
These people have no integrity. Look them up on the net for complaints about their auto renewal.
