There are loads of malware removers on the net now and most of them are lightweight applications, which usually means they’re quick and don’t have many features. One such lightweight attention is Malwarebytes’ Anti-malware.

Like all these similar pieces of software, Malwarebytes is quick and doesn’t use a lot of resources, but unlike most, Malwarebytes’ Anti-malware provides live protection and full scans for all drives. Another fantastic thing about this program is that it’s database is updated on a fixed basis – at least every two days, which is already very often for such a program, but sometimes they update even more frequently.

Malwarebytes’ Anti-malware is somewhat customizable and has several superfluous utilities for manual malware removal. The program is available in many languages and works just fine with other anti-viral and anti-spyware software.

There are a few drawbacks, but: live protection comes only with the registered version and, well, it’s still a lightweight program, so it can’t be compared with the more serious software out there.

Spybot – Search & End is one of the very first spyware removers appeared in the computer security field. It has bounty of functions and is absolutely free to use, although users can make donations to its author Patrick M. Kolla.

Ad-Aware Free is an adware and spyware removal tool that scans your reminiscence, registry, hard, removable and optical drives for known data-mining, aggressive advertising, and tracking components.
