I got this from a website: IBM Thinkpad® (newer) Windows: Programs-Thinkpad CFG.
since i dont have to press F2 and other keys when the computer is starting up i dont konw how to get in to the setup

Ummm… you do have to press keys like Delete and F2 and stuff. I don’t know where you got not having to press anything.

What is the best way to deal with this when that happens. Do you give them everything and let them look/steal your personal files?
I always see the guys who work behind those counters and i would not trust them with a usb stick let alone my entire hard drive.
I assume they will tell you they need the hard drive to fix it etc…
What are some ways to ensure data integrity when taking your pc into a shop?

I would say you have to include the drive otherwise they won’t be able to turn it on and re-erect the problem.
Find a shop where you trust them with your files and make sure there is nothing illegal on there.

I just bought a Dell 966 wireless printer (has the wireless ethernet card installed). I have a wireless network setup in my household. I have the wireless router hooked up to one computer and we have one other computer and two laptops that we hook into the network. I don’t know how to connect all the other computers to the printer. I went into “control panel”, “printers”, “add printer”, “browse”, but the network nor the printer do not show. Can anyone help me and tell me what I’m doing incorrect. Thanks! (p.s. when I went through the printer install I did choose to hook it up through the network, with our network key, etc.)

It needs to have a Wireless Print Server;
Or, Make the Printer a Shared Item on the Network.
The trick will be getting the Printer to be “seen” by the Other PCs.
Providing the Printer is shared, one way to do it is to make the PC it is connected to into the Printer server, but this will chew up resources for the PC.
My Suspicion is that since the DELL 966 is a wireless printer, then the Software it should have will have options to use the wireless network. Once Shared, it will be like a Shared file folder, or a Shared store, and it should be visible. Usually the huge trick is that right click option set … if it has the right elements then connecting from another PC will be just a matter of adding a printer.
If that fails, try Dell Support.
OR, Check out the Linksys Print Servers that are wireless, these will make the printer operate independently, and will be visible to all PCs and will not impact any PC on your network

i bought a new Dell 1950 1U Server and want to make virtual servers , but have no thought how ,,, some of the servers i want to use them with windows servers 2003
others with ubuntu linux

Well you can do two things. MS way or VM ware OR Red Hat Way…But… I prefer MS and VM.
MS WAY : Download and Install Hyper V 2008 Server R2 RC around 1 GB, Install it. Configure it, all docs are available on MS site.
Connect to your Now Dell 1950 now the Hyper V server by Hyper V Administrator Available in Windows Outlook or Windows 7. There is no XP version.
VM WARE WAY : Download and Instal ESXi, which is free from VMWARE, same way like Hyper V administrator you need to install the management console on a XP or Outlook machine to manage the server.
For both, make sure you have x64 Bit virtualization on the BIOS of server and Do bit on.
Alternately, You can install the MS windows 2008 x64 or Suse Linux 11 or Red Hat 5 and enable Hyper V, Suse Virtualization and Red Hat Virtualization respectively.
