I am now in UNIX support job and I joined very recently in this company . I want to do something more challenging and creative and hence I am plotting to pick up a progamming language . Delight recommend the best language to learn considering job prospects and also I like to build web / network applications …I am looking for a cool language to learn … my options are like
Ruby and ROR – Cool language and has excellent job market nowdays
Python – I was earlier attracted in python but now seems like Ruby is a better choice …
Or Should I go for Haskell or Erlang …the new wave in functional programming is building I guess ?
Experience chaps delight recommend me .

I program in C++. I also develop XML Schemas based on various standards. I am dabbling in SOAP.
