I don’t know about them, but I’m studying in a Computer Systems Technician program, and the entirety of the student population in the program uses AVG.

I’ve got a sony vaio CR32G on windows outlook. It’s hung on me once. I’ve never done a backup on it (nor do I know how to, this is my first laptop). Should I still do a backup/recovery disk or should I just start saving my files on an external hard drive?
If I backup at this top and I recover to this top, wouldn’t the backup carry the current flaws in the computer now?

Copy your files to an external hard drive. The problem is with your computer, not with any of your files

My Compaq Mini Laptop wouldn’t boot. Unfortunately, I failed to make recovery back up discs. Now I wish to restore it to its factory status but cannot. Is it possible to restore it online. If it is, where can I download the necessary program? Help delight.

I haven’t heard of any option besides the recovery discs. Unless you know someone else with a computer that has their backup discs. This also means that you may not get the same OS that you had at first. Sorry.
