My doctor told me now that if I got the procedure done in June, I would not be able to attend my fall semester of institution, because the recovery time would be about six months. But I do know another girl who had spinal fusion, and she was back in school right on time after her surgery in June. If it helps at all, I have an S shaped curve, with the preeminent curve measuring nearly 50 degrees.

Hey, okay so firstly all surgeries are different because well we all have different consultants but i doubt that you’d be off school for 6 months. I had my operation for a 100 degree curve on the 21st of February and i went back 5 weeks after the surgery. the average of going back to school or work is 6-8 weeks so no thought where 6 months came from. After 3 months you will be practically back to normal. During the 3 months you cant bend or twist etc but at 3 months you can do mostly everything except physical contact sports, theme parks the obvious things. :) Hope i helped. xx

Does anyone own a Lenovo computer?

.

I’m a graduating senior and I’m searching for a new laptop. Now I want a Sony Vaio or HP Pavilion. (Well really I want a MacBook, but that’s another story.) My uncle, who works for a computer company is offering me a deal on a 15.4 Lenovo computer. I’m sure what its official name is but these are some of its specs:

Levono 15.4-Inch Laptop with touch sensisitve surface and built in subwoofer.
> CPU Type – Intel Core 2 Duo T5900
> Screen – 15.4″ WXGA
> Memory Size – 4GB
> Hard Disk – 250GB
> Optical Drive – Dual Layer DVD Burner
> Graphics Card – Intel GMA 4500MHD
> Video Memory – shared memory
> Communication – Modem, LAN and WLAN
> Card slot – 1 x Express Card
> Battery – 6-cell lithium ion, Life 4 hours
> Dimensions – 14.20″ x 10.30″ x 1.10-1.40″
> Weight – 6.4 lbs.

He’s offering me and my mom a cheap deal, understanding that money is tight for us. But I really want a Sony, HP or even a Mac. Should I accept the Lenovo? Does anyone know about them?

Depending on the price, it sounds like it is an IdeaPad Y530 or similar model. I don’t own any of the new Lenovo laptops (I do have two ThinkPads even if), but I am likely going to buy one in July and have been doing a ton of investigate on their models.

One thing you left out is the price that your uncle is offering the computer for. If it’s a used computer, you should get more than 0-0 off the normal price of the laptop.

Since it has the touch sensitive surface and the subwoofer, I’m about 90% sure it’s an IdeaPad Y530, as that’s the only Lenovo laptop I know of with those two features and a 15.4″ screen.

Lenovo harvest are amazingly built. They have the highest rated build quality in the industry, and last forever. You’d be doing well to buy the laptop offered, if it’s at a excellent price. I would but consider the price being offered with it’s condition. If it’s about what a new laptop would cost, I would buy the new one. If it’s a lot less (like say 0 less), then I would buy the ancient one.

If you have any other questions, do feel free to message me, and I will try to help you as much as I can.

Edit: To the person who posted not more than, you must really be a hateful person if you’re going to insult someone for just being concerned about accepting help with a laptop. You also should have at least tried to help.

Also, I just looked over both the Y530 and Y550 lines, which were what I was thinking the laptop force be. The graphics card but doesn’t match the Y530 line, and the screen size doesn’t match the Y550 line, so I will continue looking to find you the laptop that was being offered unless you can find that information easily.

Congratulations even if on having finished school. I know how fantastic of a feeling that is, being a graduating senior myself. :)

HP printer ink issue?

.

Just recently I bought, for the first time, non hp ink from Cartridge World for my hp printer. The ink worked for about 2 days, now my printer wont print anymore. It feeds the paper(looks as if it is printing), but when it comes out the paper is clean. I know the ink didn’t run out in a 2 days.
From looking at previous answers, HP has been reported to say never to use non Hp ink for your printer, for it may possibly hurt the printer in the long run.
Have I somehow hurt my printer, or may possibly I just possibly buy Hp ink again, and will be fine?

In your opinion, is this the cartridge or the printer that is causing the problem?

I question because I don’t want to waste the money to buy new ink, if my printer is broken.
Anything would be helpful! Thank you!

i dont really know if your printer is broken but if it is, i suggest that you buy a laser printer because the ink never dries out if you don’t use it often and the cartridges last a lot longer, ive had my printer for 2 years now and it still isnt done!

Unlimited cloud storage backup?

.

I’m now looking at mozy.com and crashplan.com as options for unlimited data backup. I’m going to download them to evaluate them first hand, but I just wanted to know if anyone had any comments concerning these two options. Personally, I use Dropbox, but it’s to expensive to use as a paid backup. What do you guys reflect?

I’m a huge fan of Dropbox myself. With now up to 10GB of free space, and automatic syncing, it can’t be beat.

Getting it through a referal link will start you off with more free storage space space!

Get it here: https://www.dropbox.com/referrals/NTgzMjQ2NDk

Alternatively, Google ID can now take any file, and tho it’s no automatic, it’s dirt-cheap, to get a ton of space. Something like /year for 20GB.

If it’s new take the dam* thing back and complain. Let them agonize about it. Tell them you want it fixed, return your money or give you another.
