I live in USA, if everyone understood the purpose of Socialism and were taught how it works and that they are indeed needed in order for the government to stand then why may possibly it not work. I keep seeing that socialism doesn’t work because people get bone idle from lack of reward so the government crumbles, but those are people who cannot grasp socialism. Shouldn’t it work if everyone understands it? You wake up, yawn and stretch and say “I’m going to go to work to better my country and neighbors” not “i’m going to go to work to better me”
Is greed and laziness really that powerful that people cannot use socialism without destroying them self even if they knew they were needed?
The catholic church is a socialistic structure, it relies only on donations for money but it’s still standing after how long? What does it have that a socialist government doesn’t?
Linux is a socialized computer OS, in fact all software that is open source under the general public license is. They produce high quality harvest and all for free and they’re still standing, most of the people aren’t rewarded one bit by their efforts except through donations and the excellent feeling of accomplishing it. Can’t a socialized government work similar?
When I am down and out, others in a socialized government would help me get back on my feet, to which I would be able to help those who are in need. Is this not constructive?
When I am down and out in this current government. I have no support, I can question and beg on my knees for medical support and I have to fill out forms I can’t know, then be rejected for messing up or for my issue not being “life threatening” This government is a dog eat dog government, it is selfish and greedy, it looks at those in need of help like they are scum instead of looking at them with compassion and understanding and offering a helping hand so that they can rejoin humanity in helping others. Is this not destructive?
I admit I am bias towards Socialism, but only because I can only see the excellent that a stable healthy socialized government may possibly do, if only everyone knows that they are vital to the government working.
also for the “Look at the other countries that tried it” thought, how many times did thomas edison fail to build a light bulb before finally accomplishing it? He never failed, he just learned how to improve it and make it work that is all. Same with socialism, may possibly there not be just a way to improve it and make it work?
