How do I replace a broken SD Card slot on a Toshiba Sattelite Laptop?

I got an SD card stuck in my laptop. In the process of removing it some of the metal things in the slot were bent. Now SD cards are not readable from this slot. How to I replace the slot? Does this mean I have to buy a new laptop?
