You laptop is well above the system requirements. You can run Guild Wars with no problem.

CPU and RAM are very excellent specs.

Prospect reference: Because you have the Mobility Radeon 3650, you can run Crysis on medium settings. Since it can run Crysis, you can play any modern game out there including Sims 3 and Empire: Whole War.

What can you tell me about photo printers?

.

How is the picture quality? I hear the pics fade over time, and the cost of the ink cartriges and paper are kinda high. Is it really worth it? Tell me about your experience with them.

I use an Epson R-260 (older photo print model) for “one-off” prints when the client needs the photo ASAP or I need to provide a sample print to my lab that has special cropping.

The cost of making a 4×6 inch print on that printer is about $.45 vs. $.15 for one from my lab. 8×10 inch prints cost up to .00 each on the printer, .65 at my lab. When I need to provide ten or more prints, the time it takes really print on an ink-jet printer can be hours when you take into account the set up and printing time for each print.

I use this printer mostly for printing directly to CD’s and DVD’s

If you do choose to buy an Ink-jet photo printer, do NOT by generic paper and ink. You will get colour shifts that will drive you nuts and when you use generic ink, it voids the warranty on the some printers.

I have an Acer Aspire 3680 laptop, under a year ancient and in excellent shape. The downfall, Outlook!! I am looking for a place online (or even in the state of Maine) that I can trade it for a laptop with XP on it, and safely.

I want to get an all in one photo printer. We wouldn’t be by the photo part much but sparingly, but would certainly use the fixed printer for black and white and color printing. Are these three separate cartridges or does it all come from one source, leaving the photo color quality lacking if you run out of color ink.

I am learning the ABC’s of this, hence the simple question.

At least on HP’s, they are 3 separate types of cartridges: black, color, and photo. But, it depends on the point printer.
