I have a Mac Pro with OSx 10.4.11 and a HP color laser printer (2600n). It prints in good quality mode by default which wastes a lot of toner. I wanted to know how to set it to print in low-quality mode (draft mode) by default.
I even have a windows PC. So solution for any will be good.

On the Windows system this is easy. Go into your [PRINTERS] folder in your [Control Panel]. Right-click the printer you want to change settings on and select [Properties] Once the printer settings window opens up look for advanced settings or ultimately you need to find a menu option called Paper/Quality. Here you will select the default settings you need. Not all settings are available in all operating systems, nor will they be offered in the same display array.

Due to this, it is best for you to refer to the help screens available for your system.
