So I bought a laptop and its got a fault after a few days and I don’t want to have to go through and install all of the programs again as well as putting all the composition and losing ID that I have on the laptop. So which backup program can I use to backup everything including the programs to an external hard drive so I can restore it on the replacement laptop?

you can use external drive and backup your data manually, but its time consuming, simple to forget, it force be lost or hurt, etc… So the best way to backup your data is backing them all online.
