I have a laptop HP Pavoilion dv2000. I have tried to make a backup/recovery disk many times now and just got another type of disk I thought would work. 4X DVD-RW 4.7GB I have ten as well as MANY compact disk 700MB disks… none work for the laptop. I place them in and it seems to work but then questions for a disk with something larger then 1GB… thats why I got the new disks thinking it would help. Thanks for your time and help.
Have windows 7 yes, and I have tried to make a backup on the computer it’s self, doesn’t work and each time I place the disk in it keeps asking for something larger then 1GB disk.. when the disk I place in is 4.7GB…

I have seen issues with making the disks, and I usually have the consumer call HP and order them. If your laptop is 30 days or less they will give them to you for free, but even if it is older than that, clarify your circumstances to the operator and they are very likely to send them to you for free anyhow.
