we have a server running 2008 r2 , running domain
we have software running on it to which clients connect to. domain network , with 2 1TB hard drives RAID 1 and 2 partitions C: and D: C: been the OS and D: been the data to which users can save data to.
now we want to have a backup server so if in case the primary server goes down we can have the back up server to take over.
I came accross your website and the software Mirroring with Double-Takeâ„¢ claims that it can be done but i am not sure how when primary server fails the the backup server takes over?
any recommend will be appritiated

It isn’t an automatic failover. It is a backup that you have to bring online as the original. By something like the built in DFS can help with that.
