Okay, here’s the problem. I was typing one day and my A key on my laptop keyboard stopped working. Any way to fix it without carriage it in for service? My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 15 with Windows 7 Home Premium and the A key wasn’t bashed hard or pulled off or anything. I’m by a USB keyboard for now, but I want my laptop keyboard back. Delight help, thanks in advance.
Edit: By the way the key never came off my laptop it just randomly stopped working.

PUNCH IT IF THT DOESNT WORK BUY A NEW ONE ITS GONE FOREVER
ok, (laptops only) be sure you have the two small things that came out when the key came out, try to fit them in the right spots on the key, then you place the key on its spot and then push it down really hard in anticipation of it clicks. then there you go!
BTW if you dont have the two small things then your SOL
Usually, you can pop it back in but if you can’t than I would go to Best Buy and question their Geek Squad for help
Hope this helps!!
If your key is working by the book then you can use this video tutorial to fix it back in place, but if the key itself is broken then you can also buy a replacement key. Its really not a huge deal. You can buy new replacement laptop keys at http://www.laptopkey.com , for $4.99. Check it out. Helped me fix my “R” key last month
