Throw it away before you cut your finger
You can make it a desktop… just remove the screen and buy a new flat panel show… thats what i did to mine.
sell it on EBay or Fix it . but i prefer selling it .. coz even if u fix it .. it will never be as excellent as before;).
I would take it back to the place where you bought it and question them what would be the best option, or get it fixed if its under warranty they should replace it

me, i would fix it. go to ebay and get a replacement or buy one like yours with a busted motherboard.
Why do I say this? a non working laptop will bring in about $20 on ebay. A working one $300 and even more depending on how new it is. There are a lot of people making money buying one’s like yours, fixing them and reselling them on ebay as working models.
I just did an ebay search on yours. I would definetly fix it. It’s a high end machine, not a cheap piece of junk. It would be a shame for you to lose all that money selling it on ebay for parts. Like I said, non working, you will be damn lucky to get $100 for it. A new screen will run you about 300 bucks. But I found one for you on ebay while i was looking, it jumped out at me.
