My laptop was broken so my dad took it to the repair shop company called Exxel. If you know Belgian news (I don’t know if it’s itnernational), that company has just “tombé en faillite”. Which in english i’m pretty sure means fell out of buisness. In any case, it’s f****d. My dad tried calling them but they won’t answer. His collegue said that he had to send a fax imediately or they force sell it, so he did. No response yet even if (this was this morning). I’m kind of really worried for my laptop.
What’s gonna happen to it?

Answer by why…
If the company falls out of business, the company should return all of its customers possesions. It is the company’s responsibility, but then again, since they are broke, they need every asset they can find.

The fact that the repair shop went bankrupt doesn’t exchange the fact that you are the rightfull owner of that laptop. The company can’t sell the laptop legally and has the responsibility to return your property to you.
It is not uncommon in bankruptcy cases that a trustee is named and this person holds all the assets in anticipation of the bankruptcy is sorted out. Try and find out who this person is and contact them.
