My compaq laptop backlight went out, Its only 2 1/2 years ancient and i brought it to best buy to see how much a repair would be. They said it would be 300 for the part and 250 for the labor. Does that sound about right for changing the light?

Bc i rather just get a new laptop if its gonna cost me 550

It sounds a bit much to me. The best would be to shop around a to see if the price is reasonable. But seeing that you can get new Compaq laptops from around 0 I’ll rather go for a new one… (that’s if the 0 is the going rate for repairs…)
