I have a 5 year ancient Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop that needs a new hard drive. I’m not sure how much this would cost with hardware and labor charges. And I know that I may possibly buy a new one for around 0 – 0. Knowing this, and considering that my ancient one is 5-yr ancient, what should I do? Repair or replace?

if you have the money then, go right ahead and buy a new computer, you can find another dell that will last you another five years… that computer is five years ancient and if it is your primary computer than i’d say go ahead and buy a new one.
if you do choose to buy a new hard drive, then it would probably cost you about 0 for the harddrive depending on how much space you want and then another -100 for the labor..,.. you can even replace it yourself it isn’t too hard. there are screws on the bottom of the laptop and a picture that indicates where the hard drive is, all you got to do is just take that take in off and unscrew the ancient harddrive and place the new one in place and it should work, reinstall windows after that and your excellent to go.
but if i were you, i would go buy a new computer.
