The screen keeps on going out and I have to bend the screen in funky directions to get it to come back on. I am guessing it is the inverter or the ribbon that goes to the inverter but I am not that dexterous on laptop repairs. If anyone knows more delight let me know.

Sounds like one of the relations between the inverter, screen, and power source is loose. You force be able to fix it yourself if precise, but I’d suggest having a professional look at it.
