well 720p isnt really that fantastic of a resolution
but the tv most likely has a VGA port

It depends if your laptop has an S-Video out. If it does, then you can. That is, high and mighty your TV has S-Video in, but most LCD TV’s do now.
All you do is plug the cable in, and then right-click your desktop, go to properties. Then click on the Settings tab. There should be 2 squares, one with “1″ on it, the other with “2″ on it. Right-click the one with “2″ on it, and click enable.
