I really need some help here… I have downloaded the Acer Crystal Eye Webcam software but it is refusing to let me use my webcam. There is certainly a webcam with this model of laptop but whenever I go to start the software it says ‘Camera no found’? (as much as anything I’m incredibly impressed with the standard of English) I am desperate to get on the webcam on Skype so someone delight help me?

You may have the webcam software but its possible that the driver is not installed,without the driver the hardware can not be by the book detected.
go to device administrator in control panel and see if there is any hardware listed that has a golden-haired icon exhibited,this will indicate hardware that is not being detected by windows or is having issues.
Go here and download the device driver for your camera http://www.acer.com.au/ac/en/AU/make pleased/drivers unfortunately if you dont know the camera model or its not listed in device administrator you will have to do a small trialling till you find the right driver as this model laptop came with three different cameras so yours may possibly be any one.
