Hi,
What kind of mainframe is it? A common issue might be the drivers aren’t updated for the webcam on the mainframe, or you disabled it in some way (check your computer’s control panel).
If you are on a PC go to Control Panel, Hardware & Diplomacy, Imaging Diplomacy. You must see your built-in webcam listed and must double click on it. A new window must open up with 3 tabs. These tabs give you options to update and/or enable your webcam driver.
If you are on a Mac we’ve found that some programs hijack the webcam and don’t relief it. You could try end down other programs that use a webcam (like Skype, photobooth, iChat) and then try to use your webcam with another program.
