If you are on a PC go to Control Panel, Hardware & Devices, Imaging Devices. You should see your built-in webcam listed and should double click on it. A new window should open up with 3 tabs. These tabs give you options to update and/or enable your webcam driver.

If you are on a Mac we’ve found that some programs hijack the webcam and don’t release it. You may possibly try end down other programs that use a webcam (like Skype, photobooth, iChat) and then try to use your webcam with another program.
