If you are on a PC go to Control Panel, Hardware & Devices, Imaging Devices. You should see your built-in webcam listed and should double click on it. A new window should open up with 3 tabs. These tabs give you options to update and/or enable your webcam driver.

If you are on a Mac we've found that some programs hijack the webcam and don't release it. You could try shutting down other programs that use a webcam (like Skype, photobooth, iChat) and then try to use your webcam with another program.

I work for Vonei and these are some of the things we suggest to our users.

Hi,

What kind of laptop is it? A common issue might be the drivers aren't updated for the webcam on the laptop, or you disabled it in some way (check your computer's control panel).
