Those basic words are hopefully something you can look up without too much of a problem. You can try looking up a few point process:
Waterfall
Agile
Extreme Programming or XP for small
RUP (sorry, don’t recall what it stands for)
Each of these describes their own process, so they have their own thought of what goes into each of these steps and when/how often each of these steps is done.
