Answer by Matheu G
Because these are two completely different systems, I doubt what you want to do will work. You would be better off to use Clonezilla and snap an image for a backup. Follow the link to download clonezilla. http://clonezilla.org/downloads.php

I copied my HDDRecovery to an external hard disk,
and formated the computer and not using the HDD recovery because i wanted to upgrade my windows.
however, now i want to go back to my original
but when i press f8 while booting and go to repair my computer or whatever is it…
i cant find the last option to get back to my original copy. !!
why ?!

Best answer:

Answer by Scrawny
What I think you have done is the creation of a disk image that was created on the external hard disk. To use this image, you need to have a recovery disk that will boot the computer and allow you to locate the image on the external hard drive and then have that image re-installed on the computer’s hard drive.

You may be able to create this recovery disk from the Backup and Restore area of the Control Panel and have it access the external hard drive on boot-up of the computer.

If your Toshiba is like mine, you will have to press F12 on boot to get to a boot menu, then select the CD/DVD drive, insert your recovery disk and with the external hard drive connected, boot your computer from the CD/DVD drive. Then you will have to correctly identify the disk image on the external drive and the recovery disk should re-install the image on the computer hard drive.

If your original was 32 bit and you are now using 64 bit Windows, the 64 bit recovery disk will not likely work with the disk image if it was of a 32 bit installation. The reverse is also true.

My phone automatically restored, and my phone is back to backup from couple months ago. I have some very important things on my iPhone that I need after the last backup. Is there any ways for me to get my iPhone the same as it was before the restore? Please help me if this is possible!

Best answer:

Answer by Hazel
The iPhone app data is backed by iTunes, assuming you have fully working backup this can be used to restore this information.

If your not getting this app data when you restore its probably as the sync of your apps isn’t up to date in iTunes (SMS should restore and have no such settings) and therefore the data isn’t restored or the backup has an issue. iTunes often overwrites the last backup (thus losing data if different for the last backup made) so it is always a good idea to make a copy of the most current backup before restoring or updating firmware as if anything goes wrong data can be lost.

If there is a problem with the backup and its not loading the app data. You can use the iPhone Backup Extractor software (www.iphonebackupextractor.com) to access the app data and files saved in a local backup using ‘expert mode’. The issue then is getting them back to the iPhone, best to ask the app makers on this but most apps either uses iTunes file sharing or can be compiled with data by the app maker. Or if your iPhone is jailbroken the files can simply be copied back.

Best answer:

Answer by Simply RED
3-4 hours and still on disc one is really, really strange. I would suggest that you start over with a new set of blank discs. There’s no point in trying to wait for the disc 1 to finish. The recovery discs are your lifeline. The contents may have been corrupted and may be unreliable.
