I like to use both AdAware and Spybot Search and Destroy. Both are free for personal users, and each works a little differently. They add up to pretty decent coverage.

I have attemped to use some “free” programs, but the free part is the scan, to show me how many files i have that need removal, but i need a product key or registration key or whatnot to actually remove these programs. I have the “WinAntivirusPro” virus, which is really making me mad, because I cannot download updates directly to my computer since that program (a false antivirus program) blocks any such updates/websites ect.
