There are hospitals from Social Security and the Ministry of Health. Can you just go to each of these hospitals? And what happens when you are unemployed and not paying for the social security system? Can you still go to the social security hospitals then?

To make it short: Where is the difference in the services available if you seek medical care when you are paying for social security or when you are unemployed?

in panama anyone can go to the hospital and be seen at the public hospitals for free.. but to understand the system better u first need to understand that in Panama there are two classes of people: really poor and really rich.. so normally the poor people go to the public hospitals and the rich people use the private hospital (John Hopkins hospital). But both the public and private hospitals are very nice.. the public one tends to be crowded where as the nicer private hospital is not that crowded.

is there anyway i can use either USB or FLOPPY to restore the system as the cd would?
i dont have a cd-rom to read the system restore cd

Write to the company which made your PC and ask them if a RESTORE CD is available for the model of PC that you have. It should not cost more than .

My OS disk is a RAID 0 array of 2x Corsair SSDs, and I have a RAID 0 array or 2x WD Caviars for data. My BIOS still detects all drives, and recognizes the RAID arrays, but I cannot boot and every solution I have found on the internet stops at “RAW filesystem”. I downloaded TestDisk, which needs to be run from Windows. I tried saving it to a USB drive, navigating to the drive from the Windows Recovery CMD, and running testdisk_win. This was unsuccessful, something about “…memory in 0xFFFFFF”. I’m pretty frustrated here. Because these are software RAID arrays I don’t want to take them out of the PC, and that wouldn’t help anyway because I’m pretty sure I can’t just connect them to my laptop as the RAID wouldn’t be recognized.

Please, does anyone have a surefire list of things I can try? I’d be just ecstatic if someone has recovered from a RAW file system on their OS drive without removing the drive, and without losing any data/installed programs. (BTW, I’m going to try to get ahold of a bootable copy of windows on a USB stick tomorrow, and booting to it on the PC and running TestDisk from there – any tips here would be greatly appreciated as well)

Yes, thanks for that, I actually have a UPS but my PC wasn’t plugged into it last night when the power went off. I know, a UPS doesn’t help if I don’t use it, but that’s what happened and I’m not going to get into details on why my PC isn’t safely in my office on my UPS in the home I no longer have. But thanks for the tip on the boot utility, I’ll take a look at it, as well as the iCare (heard good things about iCare already). I’d give you a thumbs up if I could, but I can’t rate answers yet I guess!

Sounds like your computer was powered on while the power was failing. Do you not have an UPS installed on this computer? If not, you are playing with fire. It is only a matter of time before it frys completely. Dirty power and not enough power are bigger issues that surges today and only an UPS can protect your system.

You must have lost your boot sector data / partition table info / file system info which is written in a special area of the disk.

You can run a repair on it, probably from a utility boot cd but there is a chance of losing everything. You probably should start with a bootable Linux cd that mounts an NTFS partition as READ ONLY and then attempt to mount and copy your data off that computer before you do anything else.

Ok so now that you have seen what im buying, I want all your thoughts on anti-virus software. I am probably gonna get Kasperky Total internet security 2012, because many people told me that was the best to get. But I did a little research, and saw that the program didn’t live up to it’s full potential and actually in some cases, didn’t detect viruses!! But these were just 2 or 3 reviews that said that. So should I get it? I mean I definitely dont want a free program because I just simply dont trust them. Money is not an issue for me. On my pc right now, I have microsoft security essentials, which I downloaded free from the official microsoft website. The program works, but is definitely not worth getting. My computer still freezes, still runs slow, and the program fails to fully protect me, which is why I DO NOT want a free program!!

So now, how the heck do I know which one to choose?! I download alot of files and surf the web everyday, so I need to be protected. Also, if I get a few different anti-virus programs and run them all at the same time on my computer, will it better protect me?

My next question is, if my computer crashes, I was told all you have to do is re-install the system software (windows 7). So am I going to have to purchase another windows 7 cd just to get my damn computer to work again?! And yes, I know what a recovery disc is, but that only backs up your files and hardware, it doesn’t get your system to work again. So if something like this exists, where can I buy it?

So in essence, I want to know what anti-virus software works the best (especially against internet threats and file downloads), and where to I get a system re-instillation disc? And where can I get a recovery disc? Just tell me what I should do!

Security Norton system best of the best auto detect on internet files tells you when you type a website if its safe or has bugs won’t let you download defective anything and you can set it up to auto run a scan whenever. As for the other two questions no idea…..oh if you have Comcast internet it comes with Norton you can go to Comcast sign in and find the download there other wise you’ll have to buy it from like best buy or where ever.

Take the Disk out could be that the system is booting off of the Disk instead of the Hard drive it is meant to repair and recover from viruses.. So just try and reboot the computer and c what happens and let me know feel free to contact me.
