My guess is probably not even Microsoft has a clue what they really want to do with Yahoo yet. Right now it just looks like they want a quick fix to the Google problem, and so does Yahoo so they're both mulling over a merger so they can combine their potential resources to be more competitive and adapt to whatever Google does next. For me, I just hope Yahoo Mail doesn't turn into HotMail or inherit any of the features from it. I quite like it the way it is but hey, it's free so if it turns to mush, I can't complain too much.
