I just had a door to door salesman make a very appealing offer for a free security system and installation, for a month, including tax.

I’m just wondering if this is a reasonable fee or not and if the system/installation are typically free.

I would check out the company first. Some of them have had some terrible problems with contract issues. It may seem cheaper up front to go this route, but it generally isn’t cheaper in the long run.

You do have a different option, which is much less expensive. You may possibly “do it yourself.” Just hold the system thats right for you, install it and hold monitoring. Much, much cheaper.
