I use them all as not one program removes all spys. They compliment each other.
Try Spybot. It’s effectual and free. SEARCH and DESTROY my friend! Yahoo anti spy is also ok and comes with your yahoo toolbar.
I use Ad-aware SE (from Lavasoft), Spybot Search and End (from Safer Networking) and Yahoo! Anti-Spy (comes with the Yahoo! Toolbar).
my proposition: any get windows outlook when it releases or buy a mac.
window’s outlook with have built in virus and spyware protection.
mac’s can not be affected by spyware addware and any virus designed for windows.

Agreeing with most all above, I may just add, I have all my clients, in this order, install the following.
AVG, ZoneAlarm, Ad-aware, SpyBot s&e, Spywareblaster, and a Host file. All free and well suported.
There are two that I use regularly that meet all of your requirements, they are 100% free and they both do a excellent job of detection and removal. Adaware also has some nice blocking features for prevention, too.
