Okay, I have a MONSTER who is enjoying messing around in my computer. For the last few months, he(and I’m sure it’s a he) has been changing the password on my computer. Before anyone says anything about my choices of passwords, THEY’RE NOT EASY TO CRACK. I mix captials, lower cases, AND numbers but he still gets in at least once every 2 weeks. My ISP spyware removal doesn’t help. Is there any FREE software that will work on fixing this problem of mine for excellent so he won’t be able to keep doing this? I don’t need a “free scan”. I need something that will remove any and all traces of him from my computer. The software I’ve used so far which hasn’t been much help: Spybot Search And End, Super Anti Spyware, and Ad Aware.
Simba: I already have a firewall that’s paid for, would a free firewall such as ZoneAlarm be better then one that’s paid for?
Just Me: If I had enough superfluous dough to emergency, I wouldn’t be here asking for help.

Try putting characters into your password too btw, adds many years to the time it takes to guess the password.
Also, try by a firewall. A excellent free firewall is ZoneAlarm. With a firewall he will have a he11 of a time just getting past that, then he has to map out your password. This is enough to deter all but the most professional hackers.
Excellent luck

Get Spy Sweeper. It is an awesome program, and the top rated spyware program around. Plus they have a special offer where if you buy their spy sweeper you also get their window washer program.
It cost 24.99 but for how well it works, it’s a bargin.
Chances are if what you are saying is right, he is not cracking your password over and over again, but there is something in your system that is providing a backdoor.
Alternatively, he is exploiting some vulnerability in your system , are you fully patched?
I reflect It’s probably a rootkit of some sort, and they are very hard to detect even by the best antiviruses and antispyware.
I may possibly provide you with a list of anti-rootkits such as Rootkit unhooker, DarkSpy, Icesword, F secure’s blacklight, not to mention rootkit removal tools from Panda, Sophos, Mcaffee etc etc
