Recently i lent my computer to a friend and she finished up accidently downloading tons of spyware and ad ware. i’ve been by mcafee and syware doctor but none seem to be getting rid of them all. If i restore my computer to an earlier top where i didnt have any spy/ad ware will that get rid of it, if not is there any other way?

no it wont, if something is installed restoring your computer will not get rid of installed programmes.
just simple un-install them.

Yes, along with everything else you have changed up to that top.
P.S. Spyware Doctor is really spyware itself…
no
Probably not.
Try SUPERAntispware. http://www.superantispyware.com/
Took care of my problem once in one fell swoop.
Also, try scanning in safe mode.
To go into safe mode: Upon boot up, press f8 (on my computer it’s f8, force be different on yours even if.)
depends. It can if there was none there when the restore is set too.
Alternatively, use a scanner, failing that. format windows.
no it will just imbed it and make it harder to get rid of you need to sownload several excellent antispyware and antivirus update them and run them
download Ad-Aware – FREE DOWNLOAD at
http://www.lavasoft.com
run it and it will find spyware/adware and quarantine it
that is right way to do it
not necessarily
part of the problem is once your restore bin is infected, so are all your points inside of them
hence why when you get infected
you MUST turn off both recycle and restore and boot into safe mode to run the scans
System Restore was never intended to be used for malware removal of any kind. It must always be used with caution and the restore top (date) must be chosen very carefully.
The chances are excellent that you will end up RESTORING some malware that you had previously removed.
Sure, System Restore MIGHT be able to remove some recent spyware, but at the same time it is likely to re-infect your computer with some older spyware or virus that you had already removed.
Remember, System Restore will restore the terrible as well as the excellent.
I try to answer too…
