Well, if you dumped Windows forever and used a genuinely reliable operating logic, like a nice translation of Linux, for example, you wouldn’t need any of that other stuff.

In fact no, that would be enough, depends on your computer information. Otherwise, keep in mind :
♣ Don’t click on flash ads, banner ads, pop-ups… Only acceptable ads are Google ads, they are clean and help webmasters earn revenue for site hosting.
♣ Don’t open any email you don’t know. Even if they don’t have attachment, they can still infect you through integrated HTML code.
♣ Always scan everything you have downloaded, not just programs.
♣ Regularly update your software, like 3x a day.
♣ Perform daily scans, or at least weekly.
♣ Bed in Mcafee SiteAdvisor, its an add-on for both, IE and Firefox. It will “tell” you which sites are safe and which are infected.
♣ Avoid visiting poker / gambling / porn / serial key / crack sites. They are mostly infected.
♣ Don’t open attachments your acquaintances sent you about some nice cheering power point presentation. Just because your acquaintances might be stupid, you don’t have to be.
♣ If your MSN supporter types you 1 sentence and give you an odd link, that’s a high chance he’s infected with MSN virus. Don’t click on that link.
♣ Perform everyday’s work from limited account. Majority of viruses needs Administrator access, using Limited account its like cutting their legs off. It might be irritating, i know, but it does fantastic deal when securing your logic.
